You’ve decided it’s time for a new roof. You’ve either experienced damage to your roof or noticed your roof has lost its curb appeal. Congratulations! This is by far one of the best investments you can make into the long term structure of your home. The best way to ensure your roof installation is uneventful is to prepare properly. Here are a few ways that you can prepare.
- Home Access
You’ll wait to prepare your home before installation starts so there are no hiccups or issues. It is advised that you clear your driveway, at least one side, for roofing materials collection. You may also want to remove all cards, RV’s, boats, and trailers away from the installation area to prevent damage. To ensure that clean up occurs in a timely manner make sure all pets are secure and gates unlocked so that workers have access.
It’s impossible to keep everything located in the attic protected from dust and debris while your roof is being stalled. The roofers will clean up once installation is complete but to help the process, we suggest you covering all items and ever moving some to a different location temporarily.
Your home turns into a temporary construction site during new installation. So please keep children and pets away from the work area.
- Cleaning and Material Removal
Your crews will clean up during and after your installation. All leftover materials, equipment, and other crew items will be removed by the crew or superintendent.
These are four of the most common areas of concern for homeowners. If you have other questions always ask your contractor. Considering getting a new roof soon? Give us a call to set up a free inspection at 704.663.7521 Just have some questions? List them below.
